RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

I know that the 3 will be in fron but i dont know how do make it with a period of \[(1/3)pi\]

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

period = pi/3 so T = pi/3 T = 2pi/B pi/3 = 2pi/B solve for B

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

6 will be in the front sorry

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

1.0471975511965977461542144610932 = 6.283185307179586476925286766559 / b 1.0471975511965977461542144610932 B= 6.283185307179586476925286766559 b=6?

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

so the anser is B isnt it?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

not sure why you wrote out all those decimal digits, but yes in the end, B = 6

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

ha I like being sure :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you can avoid all that by noticing how the pi terms will cancel pi/3 = 2pi/B 1/3 = 2/B B = 6

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

but either way is fine

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

HAHAHA IM SO STUPID WOW LOL

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

No it's fine. Using decimals like that is valid.
