I know what is given. Line segment BC is reflexive I think. I think Triangle BVC is congruent to Triangle CDB by .SAS

Statement Reason angle VBC = angle DCB Given line VB = segment DC Given BC = BC Reflexive Triangle BVC = Triangle CDB SAS

OpenStudy (melstutes):

Is this correct?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Looks perfect!

OpenStudy (melstutes):

I got confused with reflexive and bisector. Is BC a bisector?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Nope. X equals X is called reflexive property. You're given a side pair and an angle pair to be congruent. You need the other side pair to be congruent to apply SAS. BC = BC by reflexive property gives just that.

Thank you so much.
