Okay distribute the negative sign: 4x^2−2x−1+−1(−3x^3+2) 4x^2+−2x+−1+−1(−3x^3)+(−1)(2) 4x^2+−2x+−1+3x^3+−2 then combine the like terms 4x^2+−2x+−1+3x^3+−2 (3x^3)+(4x^2)+(−2x)+(−1+−2) 3x^3+4x^2+−2x+−3 Basically the answer for numebr one would be 3x^3+4x2−2x−3
