I just know that you put a line, vertically, through the page, and take notes on both sides. The way my school does it, we put simple notes on the right, and detailed notes on the left.

Ok so This shows you how everything needs to be set up. Name, date, title and class period at the top right on the first line is the main idea or ( forgot what its called but its what question should be answered by the end of the lesson) , Questions you have to to the left ( one thing I do is while the lecture is going on I right a keyword so it stands out when I go to study beside the relevent info) and on the right you add anything that is important, on the bottom you right a quick summary of what you learned , also answr the question that needed to be answered afrom the top of the page. Also a big tip is LEARN FREE HAND. This will seriously save your life, but remember to stick with the same shapes and letters, so it doesnt confuse you rather than help you.

To save time drawing the lines use this and print it. Also if you have sloppy handwriting use regular lined paper and make sloppy line just make sure you have all of your information where they need to be, and when you get home rewrite it and you will not only have neater notes, you will remember it because you had to read and write it again.
