WILL GIVE MEDALS. Josh manages 3 game stores. If his salary is 42,000$, how much of his salary is allocated to each store?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Example: if Josh managed 2 stores, half his income would come from managing the first store and the other half from managing the other store. Use a similar approach to figure out how much of his income comes from managing each of three stores.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be 10500?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Please show how you obtained your answer. If there were two stores, you'd divide $42,000 by 2. If there were four stores, you'd divide $42,000 by 4. If there are three stores, then what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh youd divide by three?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 14000?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Yes, but wouldn't there be a dollar sign in there somewhere?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes $14,000 :)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Surely looks good now!
