Overall, they should do that.

1) why should we have to take down our reply? it could have helped them and others in the future. so if you wrote a helpful answer you should not have to take it down because others are replying.
2) even when the question is closed i still get a notify whenever someone makes a reply
3) sometimes i keep getting the same question over and over especially when its spam. so i am constantly coming on thinking someone needs my help but its just people having a conversation that could happen in the chats, but avoid that choice.
4) i know the engineers are working hard already but it doesn't hurt to give a suggestion for later. @ilovepuppieslol

so i just think that this would be helpful. yes it may take some work to make. but after its done with, it will benefit everyone. just like what @Elsa213 said about bullying. if someone is bullying you in a post you can just mute it. problem solved. so thats another point that would go towards this suggestion.

Eh, could be worded better. If we stopped getting notifications every time we replied then what's the point. I might not even notice. I've stopped checking my notifications for a while now. It's over 350.

yeah but it would be good to just have a mute button because their are posts that i help in then they will post another question in the same thread, then another one, then another one. when someone is helping them. so i could just mute it and move on to a different question

It's been suggested several times by users, including me. X'D

Side note to add, many users thought this could be implemented as an incentive for people to become subscribers. It's been 2 years since it was first suggested and approved by Thomaster, but unfortunately was never implemented.
