OpenStudy (ltrout):

[Medal] Expand the logarithm. State the properties of logarithms used. log(x+3)^2

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

do you know where to start?

OpenStudy (ltrout):

Not entirely. I've kinda rushed through this unit because I was behind.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

so a property of logarithms is that you can turn exponents into coefficients.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

that means that 2 shoots out to the front of the equation

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

2*log(x+3) like this

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

and from this point there isnt really anything you can do to simplify it

OpenStudy (ltrout):

So 2log(x+3) would be the expanded logarithm?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

yes sir
