OpenStudy (ambermarie151):

N(p)=60p-p^2 What is the value of N(9)? A.476 B.522 C.459 D.540

OpenStudy (ambermarie151):

@youngstudier

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

What do you think the answer is? :)

OpenStudy (ambermarie151):

I'm confused on how to do this

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

Ok, so the equation is N(p) = 60p - p^2 And they're asking what the value of N(9) is. N(p) N(9) They're saying that the value of p is 9. So just substitute 9 for p in the equation: N(9) = 60*9 - 9*9 Follow the order of operations and do the multiplication first, then subtract :)

OpenStudy (ambermarie151):

So it's c ?

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

Yes! Good work! :D

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

Yup! 60*9 - 9^2 540 - 81 = @YoungStudier lol XD

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

xD

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

Sorry I had to do that! ^.^ <3

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

<3 ;)
