OpenStudy (mdxxma):

Provide an example of a trig function and describe how it is transformed from the standard trig function f(x) = sin x, f(x) = cos x, or f(x) = tan x. Why is the interval important when calculating the rate of change on a trig function? For sine and cosine, where is it the smallest and largest? For tan, where is the rate of change smallest and largest?

OpenStudy (anthonyym):

Ok did you make the function yet?

OpenStudy (mdxxma):

No, I haven't yet. I am having a lot of issues right now

OpenStudy (anthonyym):

f(x) = asin(bx + c) + d "a" gives a vertical stretch/shrink "b" gives horizontal stretch/shrink "c" is horizontal shift (phase shift) "d" is vertical shift

OpenStudy (mdxxma):

Thank you! I will come up with the rest of it. I will give you a medal.
