I NEED HELP!!!!!

OpenStudy (luvhawks711):

I NEED A REALLY GOOD ATTENTION GRABBER USING IMAGREY ABOUT WHY JAPAN ATTACKED PEARL HARBOR

jabez177 (jabez177):

Sooooo, like a hook for a History Essay about the Attach of Pearl Harbor?

OpenStudy (ssddss02):

Well they were our enemy back then and they wanted to hit us where it hurt the most which was PH and they destroyed and killed a lot of people and surplus ?

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

They were not an enemy before the war. They had diplomats in Washington DC at the time of the attack. The government of Japan was divided over the attack on the US. Some thought we'd enter the war eventually so why not take early advantage? Others thought it best to let a sleeping giant sleep. Why pick a fight with a world power that just might kick your butt? Long way to get there, but your hook could make reference to Japan waking the giant.

OpenStudy (luvhawks711):

no........

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

That was actually really good @wwhitlock . Very deserving of the "Time-Treveler" tag! Quite the historian you are. You should use that.

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

LOL Nice!

OpenStudy (llort):

You can talk about the American control of the Philippines and how Japan lusted for regional control. In order to take over the American controlled Philippines, Japan needed to ensure that there was no retribution, so they needed to preemptively cripple American military capabilities in the pacific.
