Extreme nationalism led to conflicts such as the World Wars. Various groups believed they were better than others and deserved more land, power, etc. This led to genocide, civil wars in places with many ethnic minorities, and even racism based on the belief that people with different skin colors are from different countries regardless of where they were born. Nationalism leads to oppression, war, and distrust.
