1 - I would say B. Ashton enjoyed drama in highschool and plans on studying it in college. Because, This is the only sentence that doesn't use too much repetitiveness, such as 'Ashton enjoyed studying drama in high school and plans on studying in college.' There it tells you that he enjoged studyiug it and plans to study again in college, for one it doesn't specify what he plans to study in college, and two there is no need for 'studying' to be in there twice.

2 - I would say B. Small.
Because the words Historical, Completely, and Unexpected, give the sentence more flavor, where as 'Small' is just there for no good reason.
