OpenStudy (pphalke):

i need help please

OpenStudy (pphalke):

Mehek (mehek14):

1) y-intercept is the number without the variable

Mehek (mehek14):

2) To graph, plug any value for x, find the y, and plot it

OpenStudy (pphalke):

would 0 work for x? so it would y=4(0)+4?

Mehek (mehek14):

yes you can use 0 that would give you the y-intercept \(y=4*0-4\) what would y = ?

OpenStudy (pphalke):

-4

Mehek (mehek14):

correct so you can plot (0,-4)

OpenStudy (pphalke):

do i need to plot two ordered pairs?

Mehek (mehek14):

At least 2, so that you can get the line

Mehek (mehek14):

try x = 1 \(y=4*1-4\) y= ? and then x = 2 \(y=4*2-4\) y = ?

OpenStudy (pphalke):

(1,0)

Mehek (mehek14):

good now x = 2?

Mehek (mehek14):

And also, once you plot them, connect them with a line and you're done graphing :)
