math problems help :)

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

@Advert

OpenStudy (benito893764):

wut

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

OpenStudy (dayakar):

find the ratio of corresponding sides

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

i dont know how to though

OpenStudy (dayakar):

side length of first figure/ side length of second fig

OpenStudy (advert):

A ratio is the comparing of two quantities. A proportion is an equation with a ratio on one side and an equal ratio on the other. 1/5 = 2/10 is an example of a proportion. When two triangles are similar, they have the same angles and their sides will be in the same proportion.

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

ok, the question has two parts ot how do i get the second?

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

@Advert

OpenStudy (dayakar):

write first one answer then we move to second

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

im so confused

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

like i have no idea, my math skills are equivalent to about 6th grade.

OpenStudy (dayakar):

what is length of the side of the first figure?

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

26 yd

OpenStudy (dayakar):

very good length of the second figure =?

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

6yd

OpenStudy (advert):

exactly

OpenStudy (dayakar):

good find the ratio =

OpenStudy (advert):

sorry i didnt get to help alot i had to help like 10 people lol i keep getting @ Advert

OpenStudy (dayakar):

ratio = first value /second value

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

its ok :)

OpenStudy (advert):

and if you forgot how to find the ratio Ratios represent how one quantity is related to another quantity. A ratio may be written as A:B or A/B or by the phrase "A to B". A ratio of 1:5 says that the second quantity is five times as large as the first. The following steps will allow a ratio to be determination if two numbers are known. Example: Determine the ratio of 24 to 40. Divide both terms of the ratio by the greatest common factor (24/8 = 3, 40/8=5) State the ratio. (The ratio of 24 to 40 is 3:5)

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

it came as a decimal. is that ok?

OpenStudy (dayakar):

no need of doing decimal form write as it is

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

thats what it came out as is a decimal tho

OpenStudy (dayakar):

ratio = 26/6 |dw:1461253308462:dw|

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

and then we have the second part of the problem left i think?

OpenStudy (dayakar):

is it clear

OpenStudy (advert):

always remember what you have learned

OpenStudy (nikodriver):

@Advert

OpenStudy (advert):

Ok so wheres the second part

OpenStudy (advert):
