OpenStudy (vmendi614):

A circle has a radius of 11 feet. what is the length of an arc of that circle that is captured by a central angle that measures 108? round to the nearest hundredth

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

nm i found you :p

OpenStudy (vmendi614):

lol thanks

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

So to do this problem we find the circumference of the circle which is 2pir^2. Then we multiply that by 108/360

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

that will produce the length of the arc.

OpenStudy (vmendi614):

okay is there anything else?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

No not for this problem once you did what I said in the above response you would be good to go.

OpenStudy (vmendi614):

228.079626651 this is the answer I keep getting @sweetburger

OpenStudy (vmendi614):

A) 1.88 B)6.60 C) 6.91 D) 20.73 so im kinda lost rn

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

I'm very sorry I gave the wrong equation. The correct equation is \[\theta \pi/180 * r\] which comes out to D. 20.73

OpenStudy (vmendi614):

Thank you so muuuch !!
