Stan is building a rack for his car audio system. He wants the rack to be two similar triangles where one triangle is smaller than the other. He draws the diagram below and notices that segment XY is parallel to segment AC. Also in order to support the rack he must place a support bar that forms a perpendicular bisector with XY and AC. Why is triangle XYZ similar to triangle AZC? Can someone please help me do this problem, I really need help.
