Could it be possible to block and delete unhelpful answers

but lets say somone is answering but others are just giving unhelpful little tid bits in the middle and confusing you. you di=ont want to close it but you dont want to close the Q uestion

If someone want only answers, they would then be able to delete and disrespect anyone who attempts to help them "properly" - demanding only answers.

but yes, this idea has been suggested before - to give question makers either the ability to stop people from commenting on their question or the ability to delete people's comments from their questions.

I'm not sure when, if ever, they would add this feature though .-.

i would suggest asking the person helping you to clarify their answer.

because somtimes someone is being helpful but someone else just wants to crack jokes and flirt

You can always report that person and a moderator would come delete the spam comments for you :)

after you report the comment, just continue to ignore them. no need to get angry, it will just fuel them.
