Many say that children of immigrants have a higher drop-out rate than American children. This is a true fact. Out of the 7 percent that the United States have for a drop-out rate, the highest are of people that are immigrants or children of immigrants. The statistics range from ages 16-24 with the highest ethnicity being hispanics. Also, the highest gender is males. It has always been that way ever since the 1960's. There are several reasons why many teens drop-out. One of the most common reasons is teen pregnancy. Other reasons include being bored, failing too many classes, and having to make money to support family.
