I don't have a particular problem i need help with.. I just need help with knowing something. So, when you graph linear inequalities and you have to shade greater than or less than it really confuses me. so How do you know how to shade?

If it is greater than, you shade above the line, and if it is less than, you shade below the line.

@bmk614 yeah I know that. but when the line is slanted sometimes its opposite and its confusing

If it is slanted so the slope is negative, then you shade to the left because it is 'below' it. If it is slanted so the slope is positive, then you shade to the right because it is 'above' it.
