RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

Which of the following provides evidence that a chemical change has taken place? the original substance can be recovered by physical processes a gas is formed when two liquids are mixed some pieces of substances get smaller or disappear one substance dissolves in another Is it D?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

correct

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

dissolving is a chemical change

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

actuallly

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Geeze I think it depends on what you dissolve.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

If its sugar it wont dissociate so not a chemical change. If its NaCl it is a chemical change because it splits into Na+ and Cl-

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

no because if it disolves it is chemical right? IF it disolves

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Idk im really not sure on this one

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

hmm ok ill go with D because it doesnt specify. I didnt think sugar fully dissolved anyway

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Oh wait... when 2 liquids are mixed and a gas is given off

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

It might be b.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

.-. tickety trickety .-.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

A gas being given off is a tell tale sign of a chemical reaction

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Go with b.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

okay i guess ill go with b

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):
