We have a container containing liquid with mirror base.There is a fish in it at a distance of h/2 from mirror.Refractive index of liquid is 7/5.Find the image distance as seen by fish .
h is height of container.
Furthermore mirror is a plane mirror.
Plane mirrors simply create an image that is equal in magnification and the image is equal distance behind the mirror as you are away from it
What i am struggling to see is why the index of refraction is necessary as the medium is irrelevent unless it changes or we are working with a thin film but the question seems to specify neither of these

|dw:1461452465220:dw| me too. i see nothing here that involves a use of the refractive index, if that is a correct drawing of the situation. plus, it's a fish so everything is focussed and the fish is used to the speed of light in water.
