OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

find value of 2^2^2^2..., power to 2 infinetly many times

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

I define this as x, and I say \[2^{x}=x\]

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

but I could find a solution, wolfram alpha gives me a complex number which is weid since this is a real number

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

My friend give this to me and said he couldnt do it

Parth (parthkohli):

First, you've got to check if it converges.

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

shoot, I forgot

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

becuase the first part is 2*sqrt(2*sqrt(...) and I got 4

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

so naturally I used the same method and thins are screwed this time

Parth (parthkohli):

Yeah, it simply doesn't converge.

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

thx, but how do I check for convergencce, I am out of math for about a year
