Okay so I know how to find the height but I am having a blank moment on the rounding lol. What does 28.07248817 translate to the nearest hundredth. Wouldn't it be just 28.07

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

By the way I was using trig to find the height of a triangle. But for some reason couldn't remember what to round this up to.

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Hundredth means only two numbers after the decimal and since the next number is a 2 wouldn't I round it down to 28.07?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

`28.07248817 translate to the nearest hundredth. Wouldn't it be just 28.07` yes you are correct I would replace "translate" with "round"

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Okay thanks!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Actually @jim_thompson5910 while your here do you want to check this part?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yep arctan(8/15) = 28.072486935853 ---> 28.07

OpenStudy (mathaphobia):

Thanks again!
