It's impossible to know for sure if the universe is infinite or finite at this point in time, but we can surely speculate. 
I cannot imagine anything being infinite. Everything has to stop eventually, right? But, if the universe is finite, then would there be something beyond the universe? This is a very controversial topic, in which I can think of arguments for both sides.
I don't have a real answer to this. It is an interesting topic to think about, though.
