Line CD passes through points C(1, 3) and D(4, –3). If the equation of the line is written in slope-intercept form, y = mx + b, what is the value of b? –5 –2 1 5

OpenStudy (maxymoo):

anyone?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

So what is b in the fomula of y= mx +b?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Like we know m is slope but what does b stand for?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

@MaxyMoo u there?

OpenStudy (maxymoo):

that is the question

OpenStudy (maxymoo):

@563blackghost

563blackghost (563blackghost):

I understand but what b stands for is the y-intercept thats what i wanted you to tell me... To find the y-intercept you would continue plot the points and draw through the points until it meets the y-axis once it does that is what the y-intercept would be...
