Since we know that this is a 45-45-90 degree triangle that would mean that both of the legs have the same lengths which is why they are telling us to find one leg.

We know of the hypotenuse and we want to know the leg that is the farthest from the angle so the opposite side...so we will use sin.. \(\Huge{\sin{(45)}=\frac{x}{16}}\)

Since the known number is in the denominator we would multiply it by sin.... \(\Huge{16 \times \sin{(45)}}\)
