Does anyone know how to solve integral problems on a ti-84 calculator?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you can only do numeric integration to get an approximate answer you use the `fnint` function which stands for function integration see attached to see an example

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

to get to the `fnInt` function, you step 1) hit the MATH key (under the blue 2ND key and the green ALPHA key) step 2) scroll down to #9 or hit the 9 key as a shortcut the template of the function is fnInt( function, x, A, B ) where you replace "function" with the thing you want to integrate x stays the same A & B are the endpoints of integration

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

in my example I posted, I'm showing that \[\Large \int_{3}^{7}x^2dx \approx 105.3333333\]

OpenStudy (ngunn):

thank you

you're welcome
