excerpt from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein: Shall I respect man, when he condemns me? Let him live with me in the interchange of kindness, and, instead of injury, I would bestow every benefit upon him with tears of gratitude at his acceptance. But that cannot be; the human senses are insurmountable barriers to our union. Yet mine shall not be the submission of abject slavery. I will revenge my injuries: if I cannot inspire love, I will cause fear. What do the following words from the excerpt indicate about the creature's interaction with humans? But that cannot be; the human senses

OpenStudy (haydenleigha):

are insurmountable barriers to our union Humans cannot hear what he says. He lacks the power to communicate. He finds humans incapable of kindness. His appearance repels humans.

I'm not sure what the question is here because it looks like you've tried to answer the question already but the monster is angry because every interaction he has had with humans has gone wrong. He awake with a profound love for his creator and was at once spurned by him because of the way he looks and the fact that his creator found him an abomination. He then spent time hidden but watching a family and though he helped them with from the shadows when he finally interacted with them, he was treated like a monster because of his appearance. He longs for love because he has read poetry (like Milton above all and can find the beauty in the things) but he becomes jaded by the way he is treated. And met with so much disgust, he becomes angry and like a child would, says that if he cannot be loved by man (because they will not give him a chance and want to feel him), then he will give them something to be fearful of. The creature started out like a small child, trusting of other, seeking affection, but being rejected all of these things, became bitter and dangerous to those around him.
