A new song sounds like an amazing idea! You might go ahead with the 'break-up' song if you like. I rather suggest you a song about 'self reconciliation' as it shall be comparatively rare and will out-speak a strong influential message to the reader. Good luck!

Write whatever means the best to you. I write about life experiences and so does the rest of my band. We write music to help guide people through issues like depression, mental illness awareness and so forth. So our music has meaning. Write something that's means a lot to you.
