Start graphing with your y-intercept of -5, so make a point on the graph at (0,-5). From there you can just use what you know about your slope being (-8/5)x so that's rise over run. For every 8 units you go down, you move to the right 5 units, however remember to start that at your y-intercept.

OpenStudy (pphalke):

what does 8 units down and 5 units to the right get you?
