OpenStudy (aimatias):

what is the equation of the asymptote of the graph of y=2(6^x)

OpenStudy (john_es):

This function is a positive exponential. You can graph this in wolframalpha. I suppose the function is, \[y=2(6^x)\], so the graph can be found here, https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=Plot%5B2*6%5Ex,%7Bx,-10,10%7D%5D

OpenStudy (john_es):

And as you see has a clear asymptote in y=0. It is a horizontal asymptote, as the function never cuts the x axis.

OpenStudy (john_es):

The equation of the asymptote is y=0.

OpenStudy (aimatias):

thank you so much
