help with finding sin degree

OpenStudy (threshsupport):

OpenStudy (threshsupport):

do you know how to solve it?

OpenStudy (peachpi):

use the \(\sin^{-1} \) button on your calculator. \[\sin^{-1} \frac{ 9 }{ 16 }\]

OpenStudy (threshsupport):

i don't have calculator

OpenStudy (peachpi):

you can't solve it without one. use wolframalpha.com or the calculator on your computer

OpenStudy (threshsupport):

wolfram isn't working

OpenStudy (threshsupport):

its asking fro me to go pro and won't give me a solution.

OpenStudy (threshsupport):

and I'm on a mac thats has a bad calculator

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

you can also just use deductive reasoning if you have your unit circle or know your basic angles \[\sin30 = \frac{1}{2} = \frac{8}{16}\] \[\sin45 = \frac{\sqrt{2}}{2} = 0.71 \approx \frac{11}{16}\] Therefore since 9/16 is inbetween these two values , the angle must be between 30 and 45

OpenStudy (threshsupport):

thank you so much dumb cow and peachpi
