The photo shows a simple electric circuit. What purpose does the lightbulb serve? A. It decreases the flow of electric current by acting as an insulator as it converts electrical energy to light and heat. B. It increases the flow of electric current by acting as a conductor as it converts electrical energy to light and heat. C. It converts electrical energy into light and heat while maintaining an uninterrupted flow of electric current. D. It resists the flow of electric current, converting electrical energy into light and heat.
@welshfella
C and D are both true. I'd go with D because "maintaining an uninterrupted flow" isn't really the "purpose" of the bulb. Also, there is resistance to current flow, which whoever wrote the question might consider to be an "interruption". ("Unimpeded" would be the better word.)
D. The resistance generates heat.
