i did attempt, and got a answer in the 40k area so i dont think so
the mean is 47 (ignore the 1000s) the std is 4 how "far" is 40 from 47 ? now many standard deviations is that ?
47-40 is 7
ok, and because 40 is "below" the 47, we do: 40 - 47 = -7 (we always do number - mean) next, how many "standard deviations" is -7 ? divide -7 by the standard deviation. what do you get ?
