*Can someone tell me if I did it the right way and how do I round my answer to the nearest inch?*Claire is designing a decagon street sign. She wants to place the street sign in her front yard to announce her graduation party. She wants her sign to have a height of 40 inches and each side to measure 14.5 inches. What is the area of the stop sign, rounded to the nearest square inch? URL picture: https://cds.flipswitch.com/tools/asset/media/472755 The equation I use is this one : A=1/2*20*14.5(10) and the answer I got which is the area is 1,450.
Hey @jhonyy9, Can you check this and see if I did it right please? Also, if you know how to round the answer I got to the nearest square inch.
so do you know what mean exactly decagon - how many similar triangles inside this poligon ?
Yeah I think so :)
so than you know this 40 in what is - what mean for one from these triangles - so you can calculi area of one from these triangles - so than you know again the length of base of this triangles - do you know it ?
Is it going to be 20?

how many degree will result for a central angle of this triangle of a decagon ?
so do you know it ?
Is it 36 degrees? I don't know it
yes right bc. you get it from 360/10 = 36
ohh okay, Got it!
Then, what do we do next?
