OpenStudy (ashely14):

Which equation illustrates the multiplication property of equality?

OpenStudy (xguardians):

C since you multiple both sides, which is expressing the multiplication property of equality: "The Multiplication Property of Equality states that if you multiply both sides of an equation by the same number, the sides remain equal (i.e. equality is preserved)."

The `multiplication property of equality` is the idea where you start with any equation and multiply both sides of the equation example x/2 = 10 2*(x/2) = 2*10 ... multiply both sides by 2 2x/2 = 20 1x/1 = 20 1x = 20 x = 20 in this case, I'm using it to undo dividing by 2 to solve for x
