Do you know the formula for a parabola?

OpenStudy (xguardians):

Owikbenstan, that isn't the proper equation for this parabola.

OpenStudy (xguardians):

The correct answer is: x =-3(y+3)^2-2 -3 for the coefficient.

OpenStudy (xguardians):

By looking at the graph, you can see that the parabola is this: x = p(y+3)^2 - 2 Then you have to find the value of p. Plug in the new points it gave you, (-5,-2) -5 = p(-2+3)^2-2 -5 = p(1)^2-2 -5 = p - 2 p = -3
