Find the hypotenuse of a right triangle whose legsare \[\sqrt{10}\]and \[\sqrt{15}\].

OpenStudy (xguardians):

25 = c^2 c = 5

OpenStudy (owikbenstan):

10 + 15 = 25 square root of 25 is 5, hypotenuse is 5.

OpenStudy (xguardians):

You should try practicing these on your own before asking us.

OpenStudy (xguardians):

This is the third one in a row.

alones (alones):

Uhh i'm not good with square roots

OpenStudy (xguardians):

When you have a square root and square it, it become the number underneath. \[\sqrt{25}^2\]

OpenStudy (xguardians):

which equals 25

OpenStudy (xguardians):

So when you have \[\sqrt{10}^2 + \sqrt{15} = c^2\] It is simply \[10 + 15 = c^2\]

OpenStudy (xguardians):

I meant to include ^2 on the sqrt15 :(
