Welcome to Open Study Actually the light doesn't go anywhere at all. What happens when you turn the switch to "off" is you inadvertently create an alternate universe called the dark. You see, it's a parallel world whereas what is "off" here is "on" there and everything else in an equal perspective. hope this helps ^_^
