I need help to write a sonnet about mutations by Thursday please!!!

Full blown sonnet? Iambic pentameter, 3 four line stanza and a couplet. abab rhyme scheme and the whole 9 yards? Silly teachers, most could not compose a decent sonnet on they're own.

OK I got that out of my system. Mutations. Can it be about comic book mutants. That might be cool.

the first thing you want to do is begin writing. Just write everything you know or feel about mutation. Get it all out on paper or doc or wherever you write. Even if it's "I don't know what mutation means." Or whatever your thoughts are.

Let that sit for a minute and eat some Doritos of something. Come back to it and see if you can get some ideas together that works out to about 14 lines.

Don't worry about all the other rules. Just get it that far. When it makes some kind of sense. You can start messing with rhyme after that. Most english speech is pretty close to the iambic meter. That's gonna be low priority I would think.

Get 14 lines, try to lengthen them if you can and do whatever rhyming you can.
Just get something on paper. If you have a good teacher s'he will help you work it.
If you don't have a good teacher. Turn it in and move on.
