help! ( with CIVICS ) :)
1. Describe each of the four major U.S. regions. Focus on facts and details that make each region different or unique.
I play volleyball to
cool
Is there choices to pick from
no you have to write an answer in your own words.. :)
so basically just say what the four major u.s regions are and describe them a little bit..
please help :(
Sorry UPS just came to my door and I had to deal with them lol, anyways by four main regions I assume you mean Northeast, South, Midwest, and West of the US?
lol its ok.. and yes!
Well I'll give you a basic form to work off of. Though there isn't a lot of information given in your question I assume they are asking for major landmarks and customs that might differentiate the various regions from one another The Northeast as I'm sure everyone knows has some of the most famous cities including New York and Boston. The Northeast has cold winters and mild summers. (if you've ever lived there you'll know what I mean) It also has many famous universities such as Harvard and Yale. Fishing, steel are major industries as well.
as for the South it is mainly famous for its fertile soil, and by extension farmland. It has mild winters, hot summers, and long growing seasons. People can grow a variety of crops, including cotton and corn. Atlanta and New Orleans are large cities within the region, and country music are common place on the radio. Some categorize the South to be very religious as well. Mainly being Christians.
Should I continue, or do you have a basic Idea of what to write for the rest?
can you continue please.. :) and are all of these answers in your own words?
Yes they are in my own words, but obviously the major landmarks, foods, and weather are not :P
ok just make sure you dont copy and paste please.. :)
because im checking online if its plagiarized and it says its similar to some websites.. so just make sure you dont plagiarize please.. i can get in trouble. :)
So next one I'll go with is the Midwest. This is manly categorized as wide and flat. This also makes the land good for farming like I mentioned for the South. Corn, wheat and other crops are grown there. Going along the lines of listing big cities like the other major areas, Chicago is probably one everyone has heard about. Also if you're worried you can just use the facts I'm presenting and change the words yourself
I assume you live in the US? What region are you in?
south
anyways continue please.. :)
Well I probably should have left the South to you then, but since the West is the only region left I'll let you finish the assignment off. It should be fairly easy to come up with a few words to say about the West as there are many major landmarks such as California that reside there
can you describe like the other ones please.. i dont know much about the west..
List some things that you do know
what is a major city that you know of that is near the West coast? Hint: known for it's gambling
another hint: "what happens in _____ stays in _____?"
casino ?? idk.. :(
What grade is this for?
7th..
i dont think we should write anything about gambling or a casino.. or anything adultish lol :)
Well I'm sure you know that "casino" isn't a major city. I'll give you another hint: Las _____
vegas
Good! now seeing as this is one of the main attractions of the US I would definitely list that in your paragraph
California as I'm sure you know is among the most famous states in the US. Google California and I'm sure you'll find a few things to write about just from there
um, ok what about like culture or like weather.. ?
can you write the answer for west please i like the way you describe them like the other ones.. i have 2 more questions after this that has to do with this.. :)
Have you ever been to Vegas? or know family that have been there? Hint: if the grand canyon resides in the West what type of weather do you think the rest of the region has?
It is against the code of conduct to give you the full answer, in fact I've already given too much. The least you could do is research one of the most popular regions within your country. Just go off of what I have been listing and you will find plenty of information ;)
no ive never been there..
Well I'm sure you have at least seen pictures of the Grand canyon. What type of land do you think is there? Is it a forest? A snowy region?
like a dessert? so hot?.
Correct! this would be another thing that would categorize the West as unique to the other regions
So currently we have Las Vegas, California, Grand Canyon, and a hot desert region as main landmarks and facts that differentiate the West from other regions. Simply put in some "filler" words and you have your paragraph
ok so i could write so far.. The West is known for one of the most popular states in the u.s, California. The West is a hot desert region. ? i think thats bad.. i dont know how to write very well.. help
Copy one of my previous paragraphs then simply change the major landmarks to what we have listed. For example here is the first sentence of my first paragraph about the North: "The Northeast as I'm sure everyone knows has some of the most famous cities including New York and Boston." Switch the words The West as I'm sure everyone knows has some of the most landmarks including Las Vegas and California.
*famous landmarks lol forgot to write that in
ok and then for the weather?
Exact same thing but put desert and hot, as you described yourself
Go ahead and create a basic paragraph of 3-4 sentences and I can critique you after you're done
ok ill try.. The West as I'm sure everyone knows has some of the most famous landmarks including Las Vegas and California. Las Vegas is one of the main attractions in the U.S. Its usaully hot in the West unlike the other regions. thats all i got..
@Jacobbenvenutty ?
Ok so you have the facts listed, very good. I suggest you spice it up a little bit and add more upon what you have. Instead of just: "Las Vegas is one of the main attractions in the U.S" add Las Vegas is one of the main tourist attractions in the U.S, known for its gambling, and saying of "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." This shows a party like nature that only few regions could beat.
Something along those lines. Do that for the rest of your information and your done. Hopefully I've helped you with your assignment, and good luck ;)
oh ok... well im not done with the assignment .. i have two more quick questions :) 2. Describe why you chose each landmark. Explain how the landmark is important to its cultural region.
Simply use what I have given you. The information with each landmark should answer that question. Also if you have more you should post it as a separate question under Geography or Civics. This way others can receive "best response"
but i like your help.. please .. your the only one that knows civics... im going to open a new post in civics and tag you.. please come :)
Do you mind selecting best response for this answer? Only do it if you think I have helped you ;)
OFCOURSE YOU HELPED ME! YOUR THE BEST! :) ID GIVE YOU 50 MEDALS IF I COULD :)
lol so much enthusiasm
ill give you more medals if you help me finish the assignment please..
ill open a new post :)
