Which side paid a higher price during the American Civil War? South or North?

OpenStudy (aveline):

Money? Lives?

OpenStudy (im_a_blondiee6155070526):

Money

OpenStudy (im_a_blondiee6155070526):

OpenStudy (the_puppet1):

South cause the south had better land for growing crops and raising cattle and had a lot of rivers to trade stuff from, etc

OpenStudy (the_puppet1):

And the south has lots of sun for the plants and plenty of grass for the cattle and has lots of flat lands

OpenStudy (theyankee):

In lives and money, I would say the Union. The union spent a lot more on uniforms and weaponry to supply their soldiers, where, in contrary, a lot of the southerners brought their own weapons and made their own uniforms. Also, the union lost more men. However, in direct economics, the South paid higher. During events like sherman's march to the sea, a vast amount of the south's economy and lively hood (farms, general stores, plantations, etc,) were destroyed, leaving them desolate.

Thank yaa :)

OpenStudy (the_puppet1):

Like if you lived in North you would have no place to put the crops and plantation and it will freeze easy on its own but in the south you would have plenty of sun and rain

OpenStudy (theyankee):

Yep! As I always say, One loyal confederate, at your service, lol!

OpenStudy (the_puppet1):

Yeah XD..
