Explain how the landmark is important to its cultural region. 3. Describe why you chose each landmark. Explain how the landmark is important to its cultural region.

OpenStudy (jason1024):

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok.. im on question 2..

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

i already did 1.. do you want to see my answer?

OpenStudy (jason1024):

sure

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

The Northeast has some of the most famous cities incuding New York and Boston. The Northeast has cold winters and mild summers. It also has many famous universities such as Harvard and Yale. Fishing and steel are major industries as well. The Midwest is mainly categorized as wide and flat. This also makes the land good for farming like I mentioned for the South. Corn, wheat and other crops are grown there. Going along the lines of listing big cities like the other major areas, Chicago is probably one everyone has heard about. The West has some of the most famous landmarks including Las Vegas and California. Las Vegas is one of the main tourist attractions in the U.S, known for its gambling, and saying of "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."Its mainly hot in the West unlike the other regions. The South is mainly famous for its fertile soil, and by extension farmland. It has mild winters, hot summers, and long growing seasons. People can grow a variety of crops, including cotton and corn. Atlanta and New Orleans are large cities within the region, and country music are common place on the radio. Some categorize the South to be very religious as well. Mainly being Christians.

OpenStudy (jason1024):

isnt this about landmarks like the arch, graceland, hooverdam, the white house ect.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

yes..

OpenStudy (jason1024):

well what ones did u choose

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

but the first question was just to explain the four regions which i did.. for the second question, you have to pick one landmark for each region and explain it.. :)

OpenStudy (jason1024):

ok yeah im sorry ok i got u onthe second 1

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

for the northeast i chose the liberty bell, for the midwest i chose the gateway arch, for the south i chose mount rushmore, and for the west i chose the grand canyon.. now i just need help explaining each in your own words and each in like 2-3 sentences :)

OpenStudy (jason1024):

i chose the white house for north east u ok with doing that instead

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

i already did the northeast, i just need help with the other 3 :) and dont give me your same answers ok.. just write it like in a different way but similar so i dont get in trouble :)

OpenStudy (jason1024):

and your doing the travelguide right

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

OpenStudy (jason1024):

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

S1 Citizenship 02 assignment

OpenStudy (jason1024):

well mine says Citizenship 02 Travel Guide Template

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

oh.. well anyways can you just describe those 3 landmarks. :) lol please

OpenStudy (jason1024):

yeah bro hold on let me change the wording around

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok :)

OpenStudy (jason1024):

well i had to take alot out of the arch which left me with this the gateway arch is 630 feet, which is 63 stories, 192 meters, or 7560 inches tall and it is man made.

OpenStudy (jason1024):

i did graceland for south u will have to change that sorry In 1957, Elvis shelled out $102,500 for Graceland, the Memphis mansion that served as his home base for two decades. Situated on nearly 14 acres.

OpenStudy (jason1024):

for the west i did the Hoover dam the Hoover dam is 726 feet tall that is 171 feet taller than the Washington monument in Washington, DC and twice as tall as the Luxor casino 338 feet in las Vegas Nevada.

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok and the last question..

OpenStudy (jason1024):

i hope u dont mind ):
