In a small bag of M&Ms, there are 8 orange candies and 4 blue candies. You select one candy, eat it, then select another. Find P(you select first an Orange candy then a Blue candy) Round your answer to the nearest hundredth. HELP

OpenStudy (deving7240):

are you trying to find what the probablity of a single color is?

OpenStudy (heidi710):

yes the probability of the orange and the blue

OpenStudy (deving7240):

Ok

OpenStudy (deving7240):

8 4 32 16 8 - x - = - = - = - 12 11 132 66 33

OpenStudy (deving7240):

To get this, first you need to find the probability of getting an orange over the total number of m&ms (12) which is 8 over 12.Then since you took an m&m out already, there is only 11 so you have to then find the blue over the total (11) and multiply them together. Simplify.

OpenStudy (heidi710):

okay thank you!
