why 10^10 ? when divide the same bases what you need to do with exponents ?
Im confused..
when multiplie you assume exponents so when divide what you make ?
so the first part is right but the exponent of ten not is correct - how many will be than ?
Im really confused but I know the anwser
Basically what Jhonny is saying is: When you multiply two numbers with the same base, you add the exponents. So when you divide two numbers with the same base, what do you do with the exponents?
You subtract both of them?
Which gives you 4 right? @jhonyy9
yes 7-3 = 4
Then you would simplify the two booth of the equations? And the one on the top comes to 28000000 and the bottom comes to 1400
so the first one is 28*10^6 1400 = 14*10^2 ok.?
Divide the top by the bottom and you get 20000 and make it into SN form you get \[2.0 \times 10^{4}\]
so than you wan simplifie this will get exactly correct sure
Thanks thesmartone. And Jhonyy could you help me with one more?
yes but please rewrite in the openquestion column please
ok. ? and please tag me there
You could have done 2.8/1.4 = 2 10^7/10^3 = 10^4 And that gets 2 * 10^4
so was my pleasure
