say if you want to find out the side of a triangle or an angle of the triangle which formula would you use and how do you know which to use?

•let's say we want to find sin
you would look for the numbers opposite and the hypotenuse of the angle which is \(\dfrac{6}{12}=\dfrac{1}{2}\)

• to find cos: adjacent and hypotenuse so \(\dfrac{9}{12}=\dfrac{3}{4}\)

• tan: opposite adjacent so \(\dfrac{6}{9}=\dfrac{2}{3}\)
