First step is to identify what each of the structures are Illustration/example - Gives a concept, and give examples to it Classification/division - Goes from a broad topic, and slowly reduces the catagories to 1 Cause/effect - Something, happens, so this happens. Process analysis - Usually to prove a point, by providing evidense and support comparison/contrast - It analyses the differences/comparisons of different people definition - gives a term and defines it
