i need to know how Alexander the great influenced the Hellenism rise

Alexander the Great influenced the rise of Hellenism by defeating the Persian Empire. Though this was the main reason for the rise of the Hellenistic Greek period, other reasons were because he conquered other territories further East as well. Please medal if this helped.
