What is one characteristic that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam share?

OpenStudy (aveline):

They are monotheistic, Abrahamic religions.

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Abraham got a promise from god called the saying his children would prosper. Abraham had kids with two different women. The oldest was Ismael. His mom was Hagar, the maid. 14 years later, Abrahams wife Sariah had a son, Issac. There was drama. Ismael was the oldest but didn't get the birthright because Issac was legitimate. Ismael and his mom get kicked out and his defendants eventually became Arabs. The Arab religion, Islam, recognizes Abraham as a prophet, and claim they still should get the birthright. Issac had a son named Jacob who changed his name to Israel after a wrestling match. Jacob had 12 sons. All their kids and family became known as the 12 tribes of Israel. Judah was the 4th son. The tribes lived together but fought each other and enemies. Most of the tribes got taken over by various invaders. Judah's descendants came back to Jerusalem. Claimed the birthright and became know as Jews. Joseph, Jesus dad, was a descendant of Abraham (Matthew takes the whole first chapter of his book to prove the genealogy.) So Jesus teaches that the Jews aren't doing things right anymore. They kill him. A new religion starts up named after Jesus Christ. After a while, they get the name Christian. Christians claim the birthright from Abraham because it came through Jesus. So they all claim Abraham. And they all have plenty of things to be upset about so that they forget about religion and kill each other.

I agree with @Aveline, they are all monotheistic, meaning they only worship/serve one god or God. They aren't like some other religions that worship several gods like Hindus.
