OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

As a beginning programmer, what language is best to start learning? I know there is HTML, HTML5, Java, C#, C++, Python, Ruby, and other ones. I just want to know which one I should start off with and build from.

OpenStudy (aveline):

Start with the basics (like HTML5 and CSS) then work your way up. I did HTML5, CSS, then Java.

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

Where did you learn to program?

OpenStudy (aveline):

Just reading up on the internet lol I used coding for decorating my blog xD

rvc (rvc):

C is better i guess

OpenStudy (shubhipapa):

Basically the first step in programming is concept building. Start with any language of your choice and focus on the strategy and concept hidden behind the language. Once your concepts are developed the only thing you need to learn is the syntaxes which are language specific.

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

Start with Scratch. It teaches the concepts of programming without worrying so much about syntax.

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

Alright, thanks guys! @Aveline what is your blog? I want to take a look if you don't mind.

OpenStudy (aveline):

Sorry, but it's definitely not something I want to share on OS xD

OpenStudy (lakota1999):

coming from an first robotics stand point i like to use labview, java and robot c11 witch is one that ive created.
